Missing Britain

I was one of the few people who stayed here during Thanksgiving. What i have learned through this ordeal is that people just do not have an understanding how important the dining halls are. Most of the day I was stuck worrying what I could scrape together to make a meal. And most of the day I had to worry about what I was going to eat that night. At least with the dining halls those questions never see the light in your mind.

  1. I too was one of many who had planned to stay back on campus. I know we all hate Britain and Woodies, but I guess all those planned to stay back would agree with me, how much did we all miss the food. :(

  2. So wait, the dining halls closed completely during break?!? That's ridiculous! Georgia Tech shouldn't both require us to get on the meal plan, and let the dining halls operate as for-profit organizations. This is socialism at its worst!

  3. I agree that the dining halls should have been kept open, at least for a few hours a day. What did Tech expect students who stayed on campus for the break to do for meals?

  4. I really had a hard time with food during Thanksgiving. The dining hall should have definitely been kept open. This morning I was so happy to see the dining hall food again. I agree people who stayed back at campus had a horrendous experience with food. Not only the dining hall but most of the restaurants on campus were closed and in the cold weather I didn't really feel like going off campus.

  5. I agree too. I was only here for one day without Brittain and I was very frustrated that I had to go out of my way and spend money for a couple of meals.

  6. I agree with you all, I so longed to eat at the dining halls. Not that I like the food served in there but as nothing was available to eat any where else. We should all get together and protest against this so that this situation doesn't repeat itself next year.

  7. I didnt even know they were closed. But I guess it made those who stayed on campus "Thankful" on Thanksgiving.
