After coming to Tech I am not really sure whether I have gained or lost weight. I must admit that my eating habits have changed a lot. Unlike home, here I eat at unusual times during the day. Sometimes in the morning, if I am late for class, I just skip breakfast. On few occasions my first meal of the day occurs at 6pm in the evening especially on Mondays and Wednesdays. That is partly my fault because I am waking up really late in the morning and then I am rushing to the classes. Taking all this into consideration I think I have lost weight slightly because you cannot make out the difference just by looking at me. Well maybe my parents might be able to point out the difference in weight. The reasons for weight loss is not only my carelessness but also the dining hall food which no doubt many would agree with me.

  1. When I talked to the dietician, she said it's really important for us not to skip meals. I get up late in the morning too, but I just buy breakfast bars and keep them in my room so I can grab one on my way to class. Eating helps your brain function better. Here at Tech we need all the help we can get!

  2. Yeah i have the same problem. Sometimes I'm too busy or in a rush so I end up skipping a meal. My mom says that I have lost weight, but honestly i don't see it. But with regards to Erin's comment, I do agree that skipping meals is a bad idea, my doctor told me the same thing on my last visit. And the idea of buying breakfast bars sounds good. I think I'll try it.

  3. I try not to skip meals--but sometimes I'm just not hungry. I find myself eating because it's what I have to do, but I'm usually not terribly hungry. I haven't gained the Freshman 15 yet :D

  4. I almost never eat breakfast, but then I end up eating a ton late at night. I know it's not healthy! I feel like my eating has changed completely since coming to college. I basically live off of Wheat Thins and Double-Stuf Oreos.

  5. I feel the greatest change in my eating habits are the times in which I eat meals. I usually skip breakfast, but make up for the missed meal sometime around 2 or 3 in the morning.
