"See" Food

On Saturday I watched my beloved Yellow Jackets defeat the Virginia Tech Hokies in Bobby Dodd Stadium. Before the game, there were many tailgate parties happening around campus. I attended the one sponsored by the Black Alumni Organization. It took place at the Campanile.
As my friends and I were helping set up for the event, I heard my friend Kia shriek. As I turned to see where the was pointing, my eyes were immediately drawn to a HUGE flattened, roasted pig. The pig was the color of a fresh sunburn, his head was bashed in, and he looked as if he were still wearing the same expression he wore right before he was killed.
A man in an apron began chopping up the pig with the largest meat cleaver I have ever seen! People were lining up to get pieces of the fresh pork. They were even taking pictures of the pig head which had been placed in the side of the cutting board.
I had never seen food with eyes before and I was quite intrigued. That pig painted a whole new picture of the chopped pork sandwich I had enjoyed the night before.
