Redundancy

Every day seems the same at Brittain dinning hall. It seems as though they serve the same thing for every meal every day. This could be because partly because of my arbitrary eating schedule and so i only have the opportunity to eat one of the meals they serve or it could be because they use the same ingredients for all of the meals they serve. It's not like the food is bad, it just gets repetitive. What do y'all think about the variety of food in the dining halls?

  1. I think they have a wide variety of foods, but I have to agree that it really does get repetitive. Burgers, fries, pizzas. One does get tired of it after awhile. This is the main reason why I choose to go to the middle line and the line next to the bagel stand, they serve different stuff everyday.

  2. I think they have a good variety, but it is the same variety. they always have pizza, subs, burgers, and the mystery food.

  3. Redundancy is definitely the word to describe the food at the dining halls. It is same on west campus at woodruff, too. They may have a wide variety, but it is the same "wide variety" everyday.

  4. I don't go to Britain very often, so I'm not sure about the variety of food offered there. But I feel like Woodruff is pretty good about offering different foods. There's a different hot meal every night, plus different things like chicken wraps and tacos. I'm not sure why though, but I usually end up eating a chicken sandwich anyway.

  5. I totally agree with you! I think the west campus dining hall (Woody's?) is a lot better. When my roommate and I aren't eating at our sorority houses, we have to eat at Brittain, which is always the same. Also, if you don't like burgers, pasta, or quesadillas, then Brittain's options aren't exactly ideal.

  6. Unfortunately, one of Woody's side sections has transitioned to serving JUST burritos. It used to have a wonderful selection that changed everyday, and now I am stuck with the same options day in and day out. It is quite frustrating.

  7. I would have to agree. Britain is very repetitive with a variety of food. However I have found that the options where the cooks cook it for you right in front of you (usually on the side where you turn in dishes) have turned out to be quite delicious. So that is what I look forward to when going to Brittain.

  8. I would have to agree too. I live on East Campus so I go to Brittain at least twice a day. At first the food was great and tasty but after about 2 months of eating the same thing i have grown tired of it. However, this morning they did have oatmeal for breakfast, which i had never seen before in Brittain. But in my opinion it tasted awful.
