Greasier than Brittain

The Double Coronary Bypass

From Vortex's menu:
Topped with two fried eggs, four slices of American cheese, and 5 slices of bacon, with two grilled cheese sandwiches replacing the buns.

I have not been to the Vortex yet but a friend has told me about the crazy creations they come up with and this burger is definitely on top!  I am anxious to go and try there food soon but i need to make sure i have at least 3 weeks time to burn off all the fat at the crc.  I encourage all of you to go and try this!

Here is a pic of the burger:

  1. My PL went to this place and said that you should only have this sandwich once a year because you WILL die from a heart attack. Talk about a heart attack on a bun eh?

  2. Ohhhh man, this looks AMAZING! I have soccer practice with a coach that takes his frustration in life out on us with conditioning drills. So, I think I can handle it. However, just by looking at it it is rather overwhelming.

  4. I would shake the hand of anyone who is willing to sacrifice their health and wellbeing for the joy of a burger. It's tempting, just to say you were able to eat it, but I don't think I need a heart attack on a bun. It would be counter productive from trying to not gain weight here at Tech

  5. You will be fine! If you only eat these kinds of foods periodically, then your health will not be affected and I promise you won't die. Loosen up a little bit and enjoy what life has to offer, even the "Coronary Bypass" burger.

  6. holy burger. that is insane. i agree with josh, i don't think a few minutes of pure burger-eating joy would be worth what my body would have to say later.
Want an alternative? The Royal Red Robin Burger at Red Robin is an AMAZING burger, also topped with a fried egg, but its less likely to kill you.

  7. I would definitely try that, it looks pretty good. As Rebekah said, as long as you only eat this stuff once in a while you'll be fine.

  8. Wow....Simply beautiful, i can't wait to get the opportunity devour this burger. And as for the potential side affects, it should be well worth the sacrifice.

  9. I will definitely try this...my only concern is that it would fall apart because there is so much in between the sandwiches that it wouldn't really have the effect of a burger.
