Cheesy Bacon Potato Burrito

When you read the title of the post you either cringed a little on the inside or experienced a taste of euphoria. This summer, Taco Bell released the Cheesy Bacon Potato Burrito, appealing to those who appreciate food in the most rational way: price and amount of bacon. I believe this appeals to the stereotypcial man. What guy doesn't want bacon and cheese and potatoes and beef? When you combine these delicacies into one package and sell it at a venue known for cheap prices you have an irresistible product. What is the bottom line? I found this product to be downright delicious. Sure, it has a horrible effect on your body, but everyone who would venture near this creation knows the consequences and is prepared to take them. It holds up to the taste standards one expects from Taco Bell, but does not hold up to the price. At nearly three dollars, it almost feels as though its breaking your wallet- for Taco Bell standards. I give this product 3.85 out of 5 tacos.

  1. Whoa. And I thought the crunchwrap supremes I indulge in from Taco Bell were decadent!

Speaking of decadent..or at least, heart-clogging...check out KFC's "Double-Down" "sandwich": two slabs of fried chicken sandwiching cheese, bacon, and colonel's sauce.

  2. I have personally not tried this cheesy bacon potato burrito, but being a fan of taco bell, I am sure it was fantastic. I can only imagine the taste of the mixture of various Mexican foods inside a tortilla. You can be sure I will try it!

And, yes, being college students and low on cash, we do lean towards the cheaper foods. Taco Bell just happens to be the epitome of cheap irresistible goodness.

  3. Ohhh and while we are talking of good foods for our tastebuds and not so much for our health, I believe it is necessary that you go to Truetts soon and get a chocolate milkshake. Enough said there.
